Frequently asked questions
Do these calculators retrieve my card statement?
No. All amounts are entered by you. We do not connect to credit card accounts.
Is APR the same as monthly interest?
No. APR is annualized. Monthly APR/12 is an approximation for payoff planning; actual issuers commonly use daily balances.
Does a 0% transfer always save money?
No. Transfer fees, the intro deadline, future APR, and repayment amount determine whether it helps.
Will paying down utilization raise my credit score?
Not necessarily. Utilization is one factor among many; reporting dates and scoring models differ.
What if my payment is smaller than interest?
The fixed-payment calculator reports that the debt will not amortize under those assumptions.
Why does my statement show different interest?
Transactions, payment dates, compounding, multiple APR categories, fees and daily-balance methods can affect the result.
Can I use the calculators for business credit cards?
You can model balances and rates, but business card terms and reporting practices may differ.
Are the results a payoff guarantee?
No. They are estimates based on the inputs and the disclosed assumptions.
