How it works
Enter your current balance, annual percentage rate (APR), and the fixed amount you plan to pay each month. The calculator estimates how many months it may take to reach a zero balance, assuming no new charges and a constant APR.
Why your monthly payment matters
Paying more than the minimum can reduce both the payoff time and total interest. If your payment is too low to cover the first month's interest, the balance will not decline under these assumptions.
